Pour Polder

Sisters Madelon Lanteri-Laura and Natalie Vodegel were born in Holland, but their label Polder has a distinct French feeling to it. Lovely ballet flats and necklaces, dotted tights and ankle socks, perfect fits and lots of personality - these are just some of the styles we are happy to present you with from the successful label, which has gone on to sell in more than 200 shops around the world in only ten years.

Designers Madelon Lanteri-Laura and Natalie Vodegel grew up in exceptionally beautiful surroundings and spent their childhood among rolling hills and meandering creeks. When they moved to Paris in 2000 to study art history and archaeology, they never expected to end up in the world of fashion. However, after having worked part-time at Hermés, they decided to found Polder and make it their mission to capture all things natural and artistic and use this vision to perfection.

A recurring team in the Polder collections is their dynamic use of color and materials - like combining soft cotton, leather, wool, silk, vintage prints, patchwork and hand crafted embroideries. Another matter very close to their hearts is to insist on local production and refusing to outsource to e.g., China or India.

The cuts are classic, the colors are soft and all the styles - be it a bag, a pair of socks or a piece of jewlery - come with that je ne sais quois coolness to it... and we haven't even begun to rave about the prices, which are nothing less than fabulous!
