An unusually creative person is behind the LA based label Julie Park. Graphical designer Julie Park set out to create the perfect organic t-shirt back in 2004 and the outcome is a sure success from Soho to Singapore. Julie Parker has a background in graphical designs and is used to working with shapes and colors. Her work centered around expressionism and in 2004 she decided to design and produce the perfect basic collection: classic, simple, offbeat, environmentally friendly and at affordable prices. The result is an exclusive collection of essential items such as tees, tanks, cardigans and cashmere items that exudes luxury in the shape of delicate fabrics, carefully selected color palettes and classic fits. The collection was an instant hit - both in the fashion world as well as with the customers – and was praised as a true must have label that can either be viewed as the backbone of a classic basics wardrobe or the finishing touch to a more versatile style. Soon after the label was launched Julie Park items could be found in high-end stores in Los Angeles and New York. Celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson and Nicole Richie were seen wearing the soft tees, scarves and cardigans. The label has been growing and developing ever since – the label now includes a cashmere line – and Julie Park continues to focus on the environment and uses Swiss cotton made by one of the few textile mills in the world who have implemented recycling to care for the environment. |
